Study visit to the University of Alicante

12. 01. 2016. UBL: VISIT TO THE POLITECHNIC UNIVERSITY COLLEDGE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE WITHIN THE  WBCInno PROJECT

Within the Tempus project WBCInno “Modernization of wbc universities through strengthening of structures and services for knowledge transfer, research and innovation” (530213-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-RS-TEMPUS-JPHES), members of the University of Banja Luka visited the Polytechnic university college of the University of Alicante (UA) in Spain. Cuenca Asensi Sergio Antonio, full professor in control and robotics, and Pablo Gil Vazquez, associate professor, held presentation about the computer vision for robotic systems, and the virtual laboratories and technologies for teaching. After that, Pomares Baeza Jorge, full professor in the field of control and robotics, and Antonio Pertusa Ibanez, professor hired, doctor, talk about robotic and control – visual serving and advanced mechatronics systems.

13. 01. 2016. UBL: A SEMINAR HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE IN THE FRAME OF WBCInno PROJECT

On the second day of the visit to the University of Alicante (Spain), members of UBL (Prof. Dr Petar Marić, Prof. Dr Milorad Božić, Prof. Dr Tatjana Pešić-BrÄ‘anin, Dr Dražen BrÄ‘anin, assistant professor, Senior Assistant Velibor Đalić, msc, and Vanja Todorović), together with the representatives of the University of Zenica (UNZ), participated in the seminar on technology transfer and innovativeness for development of a entrepreneurially oriented University.

Speakers, Ms.Carolina Madeleiene, Ms. Lorena Moreno and Ms. Olga Frances, presented to the guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina: activities of the Project Office of the University of Alicante, development of the Science Park Alicante and ways of establishing „spin-off“ and „spin-out“ companies and solutions which UA has implemented in its development mission.

These, high quality presentations gave valuable insights into various solutions and concepts that can be useful to HEIs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, discussions about ideas for joint projects took place. Potentially, these projects could be done in the future, especially in the frame of Erasmus+ Program, by UNZE and UNBL, on the one side, and UA, on the other.
